I recently was asked about classes during the week (in regards to scheduling). The PA program faculty members highly stress keeping the time period from 8 to 5 open because guest lecturers could be rescheduled, classes or tests could be moved, or additional lectures could be added after normal class time. Outlined below is what our schedule looks like this semester.
Monday: Physical Assessment 8-11 Medical Informatics 12-2(or3)
Tuesday: Anatomy Lecture 8-10 Ethics 10-12
Wednesday: Physical Assessment 8-10 Diagnostic Methods 10-11
Thursday: Anatomy Lab 12-4 (Cadaver lab, there is also a morning section from 8-12)
Friday: Physical Assessment 8-11 (every Friday during this time we practice our physical exams, rehearse verbalizations and, if chosen, tested on that weeks physical exam)
Hopefully this paints a clearer picture of what our typical week is like!
